Studies on the crystal conditions of berberine in rhizoma of Coptis chinensis Franch

The article studied different solvents and different pH for the effect on crystallization.The crystal conditions for the refinement of berberine in rhizoma of Coptis chinensis Franch was determined.Using hygdrochloric acid berberine as the contrast,the quantitative analysis of berberine in rhizoma of Coptis chinensis Franch was carried out.The experiment result showed:when the solvent was water which pH was 1 and the crystal number of times was 5,the content of berberine in product was 97.78% and the yield was 4.60%.
