Efficacy of Cardiac Surgery with Traditional Chinese Medicine

Objective To investigate cardiac surgery and the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine. Methods 90 patients come from the second affiliated hospital of shandong university of traditional chinese medicine from January 2006 to December 2007. 90 patients admitted to the cardiac randomly divided into two groups (TCM + surgery treatment group) and control group (surgery alone group) in 45 patients, observe and compare the two group treatment and postoperative complications, recurrence rate 2 years the situation. Results The patients from postoperative complications, 2-year recurrence rate, postoperative quality of life were significantly different (P0.01). Conclusion The use of Chinese medicine and surgical therapy for cardiac complications and a lower relapse rate 2 years to improve the effect of postoperative quality of life, is worthy of clinical use.
