Post-conflict peacebuilding offers great opportunities for the\ndevelopment of just and equal societies, but these opportunities are often\noverlooked, particularly in regards to gender and the needs of women.\nThough significant progress has been made in terms of recognizing women as\ncitizens and acknowledging the need for increased levels of participation in\ndecision-making, the underlying issues have yet to be addressed.
