Study on Purification Method of Baicalin

Baicalin is a flavonoid extracted from Chinese herbal medicine Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi.Pharmacological studies revealed that baicalin has many biological activities,such as antibacterial,anti-viral,anti-inflammatory,anti-pyretic.How to improve the obtaining ratio and content of Baicalin in extracting process is always a problem in practical prodauction.In this paper,the baicalin was isolated and purified from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi in 5.14% yields.The purification was checked by TLC and structure was identified using BC NMR spectra.
