Bonding Technology of Special Structured Ceramics to Metals

Special structured ceramics are applied in power engineering and advanced jet engine widely for favorable integrated performance in recent years. The bonding technology of ceramics to metals becomes a hotspot in materials engineering research. Several methods on joining of ceramic metal were introduced emphasis on brazing, diffusion bonding, transient liquid phase bonding and plasma spray bonding, as well as bonding materials, design criterions and corresponding bonding technologies were summarized. The main problems were pointed out, and the new technologies and developing tendency for high temperature resistance joint were presented.
