Recently, several studies have been conducted on magnetic levitation (maglev) trains for their development. This study investigates the methods of magnetic levitation railway and proposes a maglev train model. The proposed model focuses on low power consumption and stability, which are realized using two support methods: hybrid electromagnetic- and electrodynamic-suspension system. In this study, the theoretical formulas of the electromagnetic forces generated in the theoretical model are derived and compared with results of the analysis that uses the finite-element method.
