Research progress in current collecting material for alkaline nickel battery

The technical conditions of nickel sheet,steel sheet,punched hole plated nickel steel sheet,nickel foam and nickel fibre as the current collecting material for alkaline nickel battery were introduced.The technique requirements of hole-punched and nickel-plated steel sheet were put forwarded.The influences of nickel foam and nickel fibre performance(such as the thickness,specific surface area,average aperture,porosity,structure and tensile strength) on the performance of alkaline nickel battery were interpreted.The methods to improve the performance of alkaline nickel battery,such as reducing the thickness of plated nickel steel sheet,roughening the surface and improving the corrosion resistance performance were summarized.
