The UV spectrophotometry of cinnamaldehyde and benzaldehyde have been studied.The maximal absorption peak of cinnamaldehyde is 291 nm. In this range its absorbency and concentration accord with Lambert-Beer's law when the concentration of cinnamaldehyde is between 0.8~8mg/L;the maxi- mal absorption peak of benzaldehyde is 249 nm.In this range its absorbency and concentration also accord with Lambert-Beer's law when the concentration of benzaldehyde is between 1~12mg/L.In order to determining the contents r apidly in the two-component system of benzaldehyde and cinnamaldehyde, two calculation formulas which were deduced from Lambert-Beer's law and the addition of absorbency were listed separately as below:c_(笨甲醛)=8.329×10_(-5)×A_(λ1)~总-9.627×10~(-6)×A_(λ2)~总,c_(桂醛)=4.123×10~(-5)×A_(λ2)~总-4.375×10~(-6)×A_(λ1)~总.
