Modulating the structure of iron-doped titanium nitride deposited on a nitrogen-doped carbon catalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction in Zn–air batteries

The DFT calculations demonstrate that iron doping boosts the charge transfer rate of Ti 0.95 Fe 0.05 N/NC/C, reduces the thermodynamic energy barrier of OOH* formation, and thus enhances ORR catalytic activity.
