Study on Preparation and Properties of Nylon 6/Needle-like Wollastonite Composites

In this paper Nylon 6/wollastonite composites were prepared with needle-like wollastonite by co-rotation twin-screw extruder.The effects of type and contents of silane coupling agent,blending process conditions,content of wollastonite on mechanical properties of composites were studied.The features of wollastonite before and after blending and the morphology of the impact fracture features of nylon 6/wollastonite composites were observed with optical microscope and scanning electron microscopy.The results showed that the mechanical property of wollastonite with KH-550 was better than that of KH-560.The mechanical properties of nylon 6/wollastonite composites were improved with side feeding of wollastonite and lower screw speed.The mechanical properties of composites were improved with the increase of the content of wollastonite.
