DETERMINATION OF THE CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF L-CITRULLINE DIHYDRATE AND α-HYDROXYMETHYLSERINE

The structures of two components separated from the mother liquor of trichosanthin have been determined by X-ray single crystal structure analysis.The crystal structures have been solved by direct method. L-citrulline dihydrate belongs to orthorhombic space group D_2~4-P2_12_12_1.The crystallography parameters are α=4.671(4),b=13.07(1),c=16.40(1)(?);V=1001(?)~3; Z=4.For 898 reflections,the refinement gave the final discrepancy R=0.057. α-hydroxymethylserine belongs to triclinic space group C_i~1-P(?).The crystallography parametersare α=7.935(1),b=7.935(1),c=19.029(2)(?);α=98.81(1),β=98.97(1), γ=90.10(1)°;V=1169.1(3)(?)~3;Z=8.For 3394 reflections,the refinement gave the final discrepancy R=0.054.
