46.3: A Wide‐Screen Projector of 4k × 8k Pixels

Abstract An ultra‐high definition display system with quadruple the horizontal and vertical resolution of HDTV has been developed. This system consists of two LCD projectors. One of these projects only green images of 4096 × 7680 pixels equivalently with the spatial pixel oset method using two 2048 × 3840 pixel LCD panels, and the other projects red and blue images of 2048 × 3840 pixels.
