Electrocatalytic and capacitive properties of pyrolyzed polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofibres synthesized by electrospinning are studied. It is shown that PAN pyrolysis at 900°C allows synthesizing of pyropolymers with the intrinsic catalytic activity in acidic media and high capacitive characteristics.
