Endoscopic YAG Laser Lithotripsy

Endoscopic YAG laser lithotripsy was attempted in seven patient with intrahepatic and/or extrahepatic biliary tract stones. The procedure was done through a cholangioscopy with contact irradiation method that the tip of a quartz fiber was directly attached to the stones in discharging 20-30 watts of laser out-put power. The laser lithotripsy was successful in all patients without any complications.
