Study on Filling Ability of Gelcasting Alumina Ceramic Slurry

The filling ability of ceramic slurry has a great influence on the quality of ceramic green body in gelcasting process.In order to study the effect of filling process parameters on gelcating slurry filling ability,using a U-shaped standard sample,the gelcating slurry filling ability was studied under different process parameters,including solid volume fraction,initial temperature before filling alumina slurry and vibrating loading.It provides an evidence for enhancing filling ability and optimizing gelcasting forming parameters of alumina slurry.
