Fourier transform holograms have a unique immobility characteristic. Immobility means that the images reconstructed from holograms do not move even if the holograms move. In this paper the fundamental requirements for recording lenses and reconstructing lenses for Fourier transform hologram are analyzed, F numbers and image angles for these lenses are discussed in relation to hologram conditions. Furthermore, the tolerance of the longitudinal displacement of the data to be recorded and the tolerance of the longitudinal displacement of the detector for the image are given.
