Weaning of mechanical ventilation :Clinical analysis of 85 cases

We analyzed the weaning of mechanical ventila-tion(MV)in 85 critically ill patients.Two cases were presented to show the difficulty in the weaning and its treatment,The pathophysiological change of the patients during the weaning of M V,the indication of the weaning of M V and the effects of nutritional suppo rt on M V were briefly d iscussed.It is suggested that the weaning of M V at a proper time,appropri- ate adjustments during the weaning,and the necessa- ry nutritional support were all important factors in the successful weaning of MV.
