The Technology Research of Dehydration of Residual Sludge by Filtration Aid

The dehydration effect for residual sludge from municipal wastewater treatment plant by different filtration aids was researched. It showed that dehydration effect only by abio-filtration aid was better than that by organic filtration aid and surfactants, though the sedimentation was worse. Test results demonstrated that, combined use of ST-filtration aid and cationic PAM substantially reduced the moisture content of the cake. At a dosage of 2 g/L of ST and that of 0.3% of cationic PAM, the moisture content of the cake reached 75.36%, which was reduced by 12.99% compared with no filtration aid.
