Factors Underlying Emotionality Produced by Infantile Stimulation and Septal Lesion

Emotionality in the rats was produced either by septal lesion or by placing the animals under different infantile living conditions. A factor analysis of the data shows that the emotionalities produced by the two treatments are different. Since four independent factors underlie emotionality, emotionality appears to be multi-dimensional; different indices used to measure emotionality do not assess the same dimensions.
