CLINICAL EFFECT OF OPALEXCENCE BLANCHING ON STAINED TEETH

Objective:To observe the effect of Opalescence (10% carbamide peroxide)bleaching method on stained teeth Methods: Patients with stained teeth were treated with Opalescence gel in the plastic trays to bleach the enamel surfaces every night for 8 hours ,then the bleaching agent was washed This procedure was repeated every day for 14 days Results: The effective rate of fluorine teeth (80 8%) was higher than that of tetracycline pigmentation teeth (66 7%) of 112 patients after treatment The bleaching effect of 23 patients was not satisfactory Conclusion: Opalescence bleaching method has a better effect on vital stained teeth including fluorine and tetracycline pigmentation teeth of the young After bleaching, teeth exhibited natural color and good transparency
