Golay complementary sequences, widely used for synchronization and channel estimation, can be obtained as projections of multidimensional Golay array pairs. General complex Golay array pairs containing QAM symbols can be used to create QAM Golay sequences with a wider range of sequence lengths compare to PSK Golay sequences. An alternative proof of Fiedler, Jedwab, and Parker's recursive construction of general complex Golay complementary array pairs is given. The relation of the QAM Golay sequences obtained from this construction and known QAM Golay sequences is discussed.
