摘要
Cs2HfX6 halides show a vacancy-ordered cubic double perovskite structure when X = Cl, Br, and I. As to the first member of the halide family, Zhiping Luo and co-workers (article number 2201374) identify Cs2HfF6 as a new type of vacancy-ordered hexagonal perovskite. It is composed of single layers of building blocks. Tunable emission is obtained based on self-trapped exciton emissions from the host and energy transfers in the rare-earth-doped material. From energy-dependent cathodoluminescence and time-resolved X-ray radioluminescence, the co-doped material is found to be more sensitive to radiation energy than the singly-doped or pristine host.
