The reasons behind the success were, in addition to the importance of the topic discussed, the long experience of our division of cardiology in medical education, as well as the presence of high-quality international speakers.Another key factor that is uncommon in the Middle East, was the unbiased, non-commercial program that was solely based on evidence-based medicine.We are grateful to our sponsors from pharmaceutical and devices companies, who made unrestricted educational grants, without any interference in the design and organization of the congress.The annual meeting of the Division of Cardiology of Hotel Dieu de France has become one of the top meetings in Lebanon.Next year, we plan to expand and go regional.Our objective is to organize a regional meeting that would bring top cardiologists and physicians from other specialties, from the Middle East and Arab countries.Our 2020 topic will be Innovation in Hypertension, the number one killer in the world.We plan to announce the date shortly.
