Effect of Several Plant Growth Regulators on Germination of Arugula Seed

The effects of different kinds and concentrations of plant growth regulators on germination of arugula seed and cultivatation of strong seedling were studied.The results showed that the different concentrations of NAA,6-BA,and GA3 influenced on growth of the radicle and germ of arugula seed.In addition,there were some differences between the influences.Among them,with the concentration of GA3 20 mg/L,the hypocotyl length was 52.5% higher than that of the control and reached a significant level,but without effect on arugula radicle.With the concentrations of 6-BA 20 mg/L,the radicle and hypocotyls length were respectively 43.3% and 97.1% higher than that of the control at a significant level.With the concentration of NAA 40 mg/L,there was significant role in promoting hypocotyl growth,but the inhibiton on arugula radicle was observed.Comprehensively comparing these influences,the concentrations of 6-BA 20 mg/L gave the obvious influence on arugula radicle and hypocotyl growth,with more robust seedlings.
