Curcumin has been extensively used in medicine, due to its anti bacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anticancer effects. However, its clinic application is limited by its instability and low solubility. The present work aimed to develop nanoparticles loaded curcumin by spontaneous emulsification solvent diffusion method using Glyceryl monostearate & bees wax along with soy lecithin and Tween 80, to sustain the drug release and to increase the bioavailability. The prepared formulation evaluated for Content Uniformity, Entrapment Efficiency, Particles Size Analysis, In-Vitro Drug Release Studies, Scanning Electron Microscopy. Based on various evaluation parameters formulation F5 was selected as optimized formulation. It was observed that Formulations F5 gave maximum drug release within time. All formulations were subjected for drug release kinetics studies viz. Zero order, First order, Higuchi matrix, Peppas model equations and the formulations F5 followed zero order release with non-fickian diffusion mechanism.
