Effect observation of post-stroke depression with combination of Chinese tradiational and western medicine

Objective To observe the clinical effection of post-stroke depression(PSD) with combination of Banxia Houpu Tang and sertraline.Methods Ninety cases with post-stroke depression were devided into two groups with 45 cases in each,all cases were given sertraline,and the cases of treatment group were added Banxia Houpu Tang plusminus.Results After 6 weeks of treatment,two groups’ HAMD and clinical effect were lower than that of pretherapy,and the HAMD and clinical effect of treatment group were significantly better than that of the control group(P 0.05).Conclusion The treatment of post-stroke depression with combination of Chinese tradiational and western medicine have advantages over the other methods.
