Impact of losartan on matrix metalloproteinase-9 expression in macrophage of angiotensin II-induced

Objective:To study the impact of losartan on matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) expression in macrophage of angiotensin Ⅱ-induced. Methods:To observe MMP-9 expression of angiotensin Ⅱ-induced in macrophage to culture in vitro and the role of losartan. Results:MMP-9 expression in angiotensin Ⅱ group was significantly higher than that in control group(P0.05), and MMP-9 expression in 1×10-7 mol/L angiotensin Ⅱ subset was significantly higher than that in control group(P0.01); angiotensin Ⅱ+ losartan group was significantly lower than that in angiotensin Ⅱ group(P0.05). Conclusion:Losartan maybe obstruct the combination of AngⅡ and AT1 receptor to down-regulate the MMP-9 expression in macrophage.
