Study on the Oil Resistance and Heat Resistance of Silicone Rubber Modified with EVM

The effect of blending ratio of EVM and silicone rubber on the oil resistance and heat resistance of silicone rubber modified with EVM were studied.The results showed that with the increaseing of EVM content,the mechanical properties of vulcanizates were improved,the volume chang rate and hardness chang decreased after immersing in ASTM 1# and ASTM 3# oil,indicating that oil resistance of silicone rubber was improved.The heat analysis showed that the decomposition temperature was declined with the increasing of the content of EVM,so heat resistance was decreased.The DMA data showed that low temperature performance of vulcanizates was droped and loss factor rised when blend with EVM.
