Study on the Stand Density of Pinus massoniana

In order to improve Pinus massoniana forest stand quality,the stand density experiment of Pinus massoniana forest was conducted in Shan-ming,Fujian Province.The results showed that the tree-crown and diameter in breast highet(DBH)of Pinus massoniana forest existed positive relation significantly.Based on this relationship the reasonable stand density indexes were estimated for the different age stands of Pinus massoniana forest.These results would be very useful for selective cutting,adjusting forest density,and hence improving tree growth.
