Revision of Psychological Reactance Scale for College Students——On the Basis of HPRS

The Hong Psychological Reactance Scale(HPRS) is now widely used abroad in the field of psychological reactance measurement.The study revises the Hong Psychological Reactance Scale for Chinese college students,and examines the reliability and validity of the new scale with the data from 711 college students.Confirmatory factor analysis shows that the new scale's four-factor structure has good construct validity,with cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.813 and split-half coefficient of 0.787.This indicates that the revised scale does not change the four-factor structure of HPRS and has a good reliability and validity.
