Clinical Study on 30 Cases with Chronic Renal Failure Caused by Diabetic Nephropathy and Treated with Spleen-Invigorating and Kidney-Tonifying Recipe

Objective To observe the effect of spleen-Invigorating and kidney-tonifying recipe in treating chronic renal failure caused by diabetic nephropathy. Methods Spleen-invigorating and kidney-tonifying recipe was used,at the basis of conventional therapy,to treat 31 cases with diabetic nephropathy,and a controlled observation was made between these 31 cases with 29 cases treated with Niao Du Qing granules. Results The total response rate of the treatment group(77.3%) was significantly higher than that of the control group(68.7%)(P0.05). After treatment,the blood urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine(Cr),creatinine clearance rate in treatment group were significantly increased(P0.01) and main clinical symptoms were improved(P0.05). Conclusion Spleen-invigorating and kidney-tonifying recipe treatment of chronic renal failure caused by diabetic nephropathy has the effect of improving renal functions and major clinical symptoms as well as slowing down renal dysfunction process.
