A series of liquid crystalline polymers were synthesized with cholesteryl 4-allyloxy-1-butyrate and p-cyanophenol-4-allyloxybenzoate. The liquid crystalline properties of the polysiloxanes and monomers were characterized by DSC measurements and polarized microscopy. It is snown that the glass transition temperature decreases with decreasing the content of the cholesteric mosogens in the polymers. All of the polymers show liquid crystalline features with a broad mesogenic region.
