In this study, a 160-meter class hybrid tower wind turbine was selected as the prototype, and a refined finite element model was developed using ABAQUS software. Wind load time histories under three wind speed conditions were generated based on the Davenport fluctuating wind speed spectrum. Three seismic waves were selected from the PEER Ground Motion Database in accordance with the design response spectrum for Site Class II conditions. The wind and seismic loads were applied simultaneously in ABAQUS to perform a dynamic response analysis of the hybrid tower wind turbine under coupled earthquake – wind loading.
