Analysis of the easily mistaken causes of CT on medulloblastoma and ependymoma in children.

Objective To study the Easily Mistaken Causes of CT on medulloblastoma and ependymoma in children and improve the accuracy of the diagnosis.Methods and Methods 34 intracranial atypical primary tumors were collected and contrasted with clinical、CT、operation and pathological findings.Results In 34 cases,25 case of medulloblastoma,9 case of ependymoma.6 case of medulloblastoma coincident with epidermoid tumor was mistaken for ependymoma,3 case of ependymoma in IV ventricle was mistaken for cerebral cysticerosis and medulloblastoma.Conclusion It may be very important for increasing CT and MR diagnostic level of intracranial tumors to master the clinical materials and pathology knowledge correctly.Especially to the small cystic and atypical primary tumors in children.
