Progress in chemical modification of protein

Chemical modification of protein,as an effective way to improve the physicochemical and biological characteristics of the parent protein,has attracted much research and development interest.The brief review of present situation of the chemical modification of protein is given,including the selection of chemical modifier,reaction schemes and conditions of chemical modification process,as well as the biomedical and biotechnological applications of these modified proteins.
