Study on simultaneous determination for p-phenylene diamine and m-phenylene diamine with artificial neural networks by inhibitory kinetic spectrophotometry

It is found that p-phenylene diamine and m-phenylene diamine can sensitively inhibit the discoloration of methyl red oxidation by H2O2 and in the presence of the catalyzer Fe(Ⅲ) in dilute sulfuric acid solution.However,the inhibitory effects of two organic compounds can not be added.Based on this research,the advantages of artificial neural network were adopted to handle the experimental data and a new inhibitory kinetic spectrophotometry of simultaneous determination for p-phenylene diamine and m-phenylene diamine with artificial neural networks was established.The method has been applied to the determination of 6 groups of mixed samples of p-phenylene diamine and m-phenylene diamine,and the recoveries ranged from 95% to 105%.The determination results of the water samples from laboratory were satisfactory.
