Li-rich cathode material Li[Li0. 2Mn0. 54Ni0. 13Co0. 13]O2powder was prepared by co-precipitation method. The effects of the synthesis time, the extra Li amount, the calcination temperature and the calcination time on the electrochemical properties of the cathode material were investigated in detail. The results indicate that the Li[Li0. 2Mn0. 54Ni0. 13Co0. 13]O2prepared at 60 ℃ for 6 h have the higher tap density and the better electrochemical performance. Extra Li amount not only causes difference in the material structure, but also affects their electrochemical properties. The highest initial discharge capacity is obtained with the Li / M( nLi/ nM( M = Ni + Co + Mn)) of 1. 25 /0. 8. The calcination temperatures and calcination times cause great difference in the electrochemical properties of Li[Li0. 2Mn0. 54Ni0. 13Co0. 13]O2,and the best electrochemical properties are obtained at the calcination temperature of 900 ℃ for 15 h.
