摘要
The anomalous photovoltaic (APV) effect offers innovative strategies for solar energy conversion, with the potential to overcome the limitations of traditional photovoltaics. This review examines the theoretical foundation of the APV effect, which has been extensively investigated in oxide perovskites. It explores the two primary mechanisms driving this effect-the bulk photovoltaic effect and the domain wall effect-in detail. The criteria for the manifestation of the APV effect and the various classes of materials exhibiting this phenomenon are thoroughly discussed. In addition, the review highlights the potential to harness the APV effect to improve the performance of halide perovskite-based photovoltaics as it offers performance on par with silicon photovoltaics while providing benefits such as facile processing and unique optoelectronic properties.
