摘要
Antireflective coatings (ARCs) or materials are highly appealing for their widespread applications in solar cells, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). In contrast to that mentioned in the previous chapter, antireflection surfaces on display devices require not only lower reflectivity but also a satisfactory degree of transparency. In this chapter, we introduce the main ways to build antireflection structures with high transmission, reviewing the theoretical basis of antireflection. This chapter systematically studies the microstructures and functions of biological antireflective surfaces and summarizes the methods of biomimetic antireflection structure design, which can be used for display devices. Moreover, multifunctional antireflection surfaces exhibit the potential for applications in optical communications, flexible display screens, and anti-dazzle glasses. We hope that this work will be useful in the improvement of antireflective surfaces performance and micro-/nanomanufacturing technologies.
