Numerical Calculation and Study on Lubrication Performance of Water-lubricated Bearings with Axial Groove

The lubrication performance of water lubricated bearings with axial groove was calculated and analyzed numerically in Matlab.The numerical results showed that there was discontinuous pressure distribution in axial grooved lubricated bearings.For the same geometric dimension,the bearing with groove had less bearing capacity than the one without groove,and the wider the grooves,the more their numbers of the groove,the lower was the bearing capacity of the bearings.
