This study,based on the theory of conditioned emotional response,the relationships of emotion and cognition,and between test anxiety and test scores,puts forward the mechanism arising out of test anxiety and the mode affecting test scores.According to this mode,the authors integrate effective technology used in psychological treatment,develop a group-counseling program to cope with secondary school students' test anxiety,and use it in the two-month intervention in 10 secondary school students with test anxiety with a view to reducing their test anxiety and improving their test scores.The results show the following: Group counseling can effectively reduce the text anxiety of those with a high degree of test anxiety;according to the characteristics of different subjects,the training with certain learning methods and test skills helps significantly improve the academic performance of students.
