Reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) was applied to detect Classical swine fever virus(CSFV) from healthy pig tonsils to control and eliminate classical swine fever at one breeding pig farm of 250 pigs in 2006.The result showed that CSFV positive pigs greatly decreased through detection of three times and elimination of positive pigs.According to the result, detection of pig tonsils by RT-PCR can be applied to control and clean classical swine fever in pig farm.
