ObjectiveTo study the mechanism of depression by investigating the expressional differences of tyrosine hydroxylase in locus coeruleus of depression model rats.MethodsRats were randomly divided into two groups: control group, depression model group. The depression model was replicated by chronic unpredictable mild stress and single house in 21 days. Tyrosine hydroxylase expression in locus coeruleus was investigated with immunohistochemistry technique. ResultsCompared to control group 89.00±1.83, the average gray value of tyrosine hydroxylase in locus coeruleus were increased in depression model group 62.16±2.43(P0.05). ConclusionsThe expression of tyrosine hydroxylase in locus coeruleus of depression model rats has decreased.
