Comparative Study on Acid Suppression Effect of Esomeprazole and Other Proton Pump Inhibitors

Objective To compare the acid suppression effect of a novel proton pump inhibitor esomeprazole(Nexium) with other proton pump inhibitors(PPIs).Methods The pertinent literature was collected in the aspect of comparative experiments at home and abroad on acid suppression effect of esomeprazole and other proton pump inhibitors from 2004 to 2008.The clinical observation and usage of esomeprazole and other proton pump inhibitors were investigated in our hospital.Results and Conclusion In esomeprazole,pantoprazole and omeprazole,the acid suppression effect of esomeprazole can be best.
