Uniform and spherical cathode material Li1.17Mn0.48Ni0.23Co0.12O2for Li-ion batteries were synthesized with NaOH and ammonia as precipitating agent and chelating agent by hydroxide co-precipitation which precipitated in turn.The effect of presintering temperature on electrochemical properties of Li1.17Mn0.48Ni0.23Co0.12O2 was studied with electrochemical testing methods.Li1.17Mn0.48Ni0.23Co0.12O2calcined at 400℃had better electrochemical properties.The structure and electrochemical performance of Li1.17Mn0.48Ni0.23Co0.12O2prepared at the optimal conditions were characterized by XRD, SEM and various electrochemical tests, Li1.17Mn0.48Ni0.23Co0.12O2delivered a discharge capacity of 231.2 mAh/g at 0.1Cin the cut-off voltage from 2.0Vto 4.8V,had a capacity retention of 97.9%after 10cycles at 0.1C(1C=358 mAh/g).
