Effects of Consolidation Stress Ratio on Pore Water Pressure Characteristics of Saturated Intact Loess under Different Stress Paths

The consolidated undrained triaxial shear tests of different stress paths are conducted on Yangling saturated intact loess under isotropic consolidation and K0 consolidation.The effects of stress path and consolidation stress ratio on the pore water pressure of saturated intact loess are investigated.The formula of pore water pressure is established.The research results indicate: ①Except for producing negative little pore water pressure at small axial strain under the stress path of passive compression,positive pore water pressure is produced with the increase of axial strain under different stress paths to saturated intact loess under isotropic consolidation and K0 consolidation;②Stress path change has a great effect on the pore water pressure characteristics of saturated intact loess,but its influence under isotropic consolidation is not the same as under K0 consolidation;③Consolidation stress ratio has obvious influence on the pore water pressure characteristics under the same confing pressure,and its influence is relavant to stress path;④The parameters of formula of pore water pressure is dependent on the variation in consolidation stress ratio and stress path.
