Green Lewis Acid Catalysis in Organic Reactions

The use of Lewis acids as catalysts has increased greatly in recent years. The present study reviews the recent advances in the applications of acid catalysts that are harmless to the environment. Organic reactions catalyzed by Lewis acids in water are described in detail. Moreover, Lewis catalysts mixing acid and surfactant applied for water reactions as the basics of green chemistry have also been presented.
