The Synthesis and Development of Glyphosate

The synthetic routines of glyphosate, one kind of herbicide, based on iminodiacetic acid (IDA) and glycine were reviewed. Then the environment-friendly synthesis of glyphosate was discussed and was supposed to be a promising potential and prospective routine in future.
