Research on the standing bamboo density in Phyllostachys pubescens forest

In order to set up the function model between new bamboo yield and standing bamboo density,a grove of Phyllostachys pubescens forest which was in normal managing stand in Xiangtan City was selected to establish 50 sample plots.In the plots,the new bamboo yield and standing bamboo density were investigated.The results showed that in normal managing stand,the reasonable standing bamboo density was 170~190 trees/667 m2.
