In vitro selection of N1-methyladenosine-sensitive RNA-cleaving deoxyribozymes with 105-fold selectivity over unmethylated RNA

We describe the creation and characterization of an RNA-cleaving DNAzyme, RCD1-S2 m1A , that is sensitive to the presence of N 1 -methyladenosine (m 1 A) in RNA/DNA chimera, thereby displaying a rate enhancement of 10 5 -fold over unmethylated RNA.
